NIAS workshop ‘Children heard and seen across the globe’

niasStarting on April 29, 2015, 20 scientists from the fields of child and family studies, anthropology, and linguistics from all over the world will come together at the NIAS in Wassenaar to share and discuss their video data sets of parents and children in a variety of non-Western cultural contexts.

This international 3-day workshop is organized by Judi Mesman and will work toward the creation of an international multidisciplinary network that would facilitate sharing video data, forming collaborative alliances for future projects and producing multidisciplinary scientific output on  child development from a cross-cultural perspective. Participation in the workshop is by invitation only, but researchers who are interested in contributing to the international network can contact Judi Mesman.
